Class Description

Nonprofit organizations dissolve primarily because sustainability plans are not implemented. Planning and positioning your nonprofit for sustainability is one of the most important processes that your organization must take. Careful planning can ensure that your organization has the best chance of providing services to the community for a longer period of time.

There are many variables to consider when creating an effective sustainability plan for your nonprofit. The variables we will discuss in the “How to SUSTAIN 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organizations” include the following:

  • leadership values and culture
  • community mapping
  • vision, mission, objectives
  • target audience analysis
  • strategies and action plans
  • organizational alignment
  • revenue generation strategies
  • consistent messaging across mediums
