IRS Announcement

On January 31, 2020, IRS TE/GE Commissioner Tamera “Tammy” Ripperda announced that the “Form 1023: Application for Recognition of Exemption” paper-based application submission process is transitioning to an electronic filing process.

90-Day Grace Period ends on 4/30/20

The Commissioner allowed a 90-day grace period to transition to the electronic filing process. Therefore, the last day to send paper-based applications is April 30, 2020.
